Ladybug NOTD

 Hey Lovelies,

This is just a quick post to show you this really easy mani that I did when I was feeling creative haha! I'm pretty rubbish when it comes to nail art some people seem to have really steady hands and can do these amazing elaborate designs but not me! I just used OPI meep-meep-meep as my base coat, then my model own's black nail pen for the ladybug spots and the flying heart on my ring finger. Finally I used Topshop Crystal clouds for the white...well silver of the eyes as I couldn't find my white nail polish :) I think it came out pretty good for me although things always seem to look better from a distance ;) I'm not the first person to do this but I thought it would look cute and ladybug's are supposed to bring good luck. What do you think?

My Top 5 Blushers

1. Mac Springsheen - As you can see from the picture this is my all time favourite blusher, no matter how much I use other blushers I will always come back to this one. This was my first every Mac blusher, and I have now hit pan on my second one! It is a gorgeous pinky peach colour with very small shimmer. I think the pigmentation is great on this blusher and you don't have to worry if you are heavy handed as it won't make you look like a clown! It is perfect for a natural every day look and even though it is peachy I wear this all year round. If you are new to Mac I really recommend checking this blusher out it is a great one to start with :)

2. Benefit Coralista-  This is such a popular blusher and I have to say I am not surprised! The name really gives it away, this is such a gorgeous coral colour, which I find warms my face. I wore this near enough every day last summer ( the other days was Mac Springsheen :P ) I personally think a coral cheek looks so nice in summer, it compliments you if you have a tan and gives you a nice healthy glow. Also top marks to Benefit on this lovely leopard print box packaging,  I keep this one out of my draws because I find the packaging pretty ha ha!

3. Nars Deep Throat - This is another 'famous' blusher in the blogging world. This is a pinky peach colour with tiny sparkles in it and looks lovely on. The pigmentation of this blusher is amazing, it goes on smoothly and gives you a lovely healthy glow and even though it has shimmer in it, it does not make you look like a disco ball, major plus! This is my first and only Nars blusher but I have got my eye on a few more as they just seem amazing! My one gripe about this blusher  without sounding like a prude is the name, it is just so awkward telling people the name of this blusher especially your mum! haha

4. Sleek Rose Gold -  Now a little high street number for you. This is supposed to be a dupe for Nars Orgasm (why the names?!) now I don't own Nars Orgasm but I have seen reviews online and they do seem very similar but this is a lot cheaper! I would say this is more coral than peach with a lot of gold shimmer. I do love this blusher but you have to have time to blend it is as it is sooo pigmented you have to be light handed when applying, otherwise you can look a bit like a shimmery clown! The packaging is small compact and sleek and it is great for the price that you get a mirror inside.

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush No 6 Berry- This is the newest addition to my blush collection but I have been obsessed with it for the past couple of weeks. This is my first ever creamy blusher and I can't believe I have waited so long to try one. This blush just glides on and blends in so easily I use my Real Techniques stipping blush to apply it but it is so creamy I'm sure you can apply it with your fingers. It it really pigmented and feels so creamy on your cheeks it gives me a lovely slight flush look but still looking very natural. The annoying thing about these blushers is no where on them they say their name just a number :/ I had to check my receipt to find the name! I will definitely look into buying more of these they are such a great quality high street blush, and as Superdrug always has offers on you could probably get a good deal on them. I bought mine for £4.19 recently when they are normally £6.49.

(L-R) Mac Springsheen, Benefit Coralista, Nars Deep Throat, Sleek Rose Gold, Maybelline 06 Berry

I have noticed after these swatches that my favourite blushers seem to be all of similar shades haha! Theses swatches don't do the most justice so I recommend checking them out for yourself. Are any of these your favourite blusher if not what is?

Mac Naturally Collection : Mac Fresh Air Lipglass

Hey Girlies,

So as you can tell by the title I have bought another Mac product, I really need to stop! I very rarely wear lipgloss as I just find it kind of impractical to wear in the UK due to the amount of wind we have, I hardly want to be walking to work over London Bridge with a howling gale and finding my hair attached to my lips. Not cute.Anyway with spring/summer (hopefully) around the corner I wanted a natural lipgloss.

Fresh air is a sheer light pink with tiny micro shimmer in it, so there is very little pay off to it. On my lips by itself it is just a glossy my lips but better so I find this lipgloss looks better  layered over a lipstick. In the above photo I am wearing it over Mac's Please me which is a Matte lipstick so the lipgloss really brings the colour out and I think looks great together! Mac lipglosses are rather thick so I find this lipgloss will last about 3 hours, sticky wise it is minimal but I still wouldn't want to wear it on a windy day ha ha! Overall I think Fresh Air is a nice pinky sheer lipgloss, which can be versatile although not ground breaking, I'm sure there are many similar sheer lipglosses with shimmer on the high street which are cheaper!

If you want to check it out it is limited edition, so you may want to hurry! What do you guys think of the Naturally Collection?

Sunday Rambles

Hi Everyone,

Where has the weekend gone?! I feel the week goes on for forever and then the weekend just flies by! Just a quick post to show you what I wore today, both the shorts and blouse I got recently, and hadn't had the chance to wear until today :)

Pleather shorts- Primark £8 (bargain!), Blouse Zara- £19.99 , Shoes- Topshop £28

I had been on the look out for some leather, well pleather shorts for a while and when I saw these ones in Primark they were perfect. As they have a scalloped bit on the leg they make them seem more girly and different to others I have seen. I really bought this blouse just for the colour, turquoise is my favourite colour and this winter it feels like I have worn black a lot so I can't wait for spring to wear colour and pastels.

I've been wearing Nicole 'Kim-pletely in love' all week on my nails it is the most gorgeous baby pink which is opaque after two coats, with blue and pink micro shimmer in it. For me this is great for every day, it looks sophisticated but still fun with the shimmer in it. I may have to buy another of this polish, although I have noticed on the Lena White website they have put it up to £9 from £8! Cheeky.

Finally I have put a few things on ebay if you want to check it out here, than that would be appreciated :) What do you think of my new blog layout? Let me know i'd be interested on what you think!

Chanel Coco Rouge Shine Lipstick- Flirt

Recently I have started using my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Monto Carolo a lot, I like how hydrating and light weight it feels on my lips for these cold months. As I missed out on Flamingo from Mac ( :( ) which was a gorgeous milky peach colour and its been on my mind ( I need to get out more) I was wondering past the Chanel counter when Flirt caught my eye. Flirt is from Chanel's new spring line and it a gorgeous glossy peach colour. One thing I like about these lipsticks is how build able they are, the pay off is good for something which feels like a balm but I find it only lasts 2 hours on my lips.

Chanel Flirt

* natural daylight.

As I don't own many other milky peach colour lipsticks I can't compare it with any others. The Coco Shine lipsticks are pricey at £23, however for me Flirt was worth the money it is the perfect peach lipstick which I was after. I can't wait to wear this shade when spring comes around, although I have worn it already!

Chanel Flirt and Monte-carlo

(L-R) Chanel Flirt & Chanel Monte Carlo

I took a photo of Flirt and Monte Carlo together in natural day light just so you can see how great the colours are for a sheer lipstick. In this photo Flirt is looking slightly baby pink but it is a peach colour! What do you think of Flirt?

Mac Naturally Collection Early Morning Blusher

I have been really excited for the release of the new Naturally Collection from Mac, so the day it was out I went straight to my Mac counter and purchased Early Morning. I was originally going to buy Fresh Honey, but when looking at it I thought it would be too peachy for me. Early Morning is described as a Peachy Pink colour which I agree to some extent but it does seem more a burnt coral due to the reddish undertones in it.

I have been looking for a peach blusher for a while, and this is the perfect peachy pink for me. This colour would look gorgeous in the summer, as it is a warm colour it would  help achieve a lovely sun kissed look. This colour is really build able as it is so soft, so at the moment as I have pale winter skin I lightly brush it on my cheeks. One thing I really love about this blusher is that it gives a matte effect, which just emphasises how natural it can look, I have been put off previously buying Mac's Mineralized blushers as most seem so shimmery.

Photo in Natural Light, you can see the burnt coral colour.

This is really a lovely blusher, its been a while since Mac has impressed me so much with the quality of one of their products, I wish they would keep this blusher in the permanent line though, as it is perfect for an every day look! Roll on Spring I can't wait to whip this out for a natural sun kissed look ;) Have any of you tried this blusher?

No Budget Closet: Mulberry Cookie Bayswater

Hi Guys,

I haven't done a No Budget Closet post in a while as I was finding it hard to find anything that inspired me or intrigued me enough to want it! But as soon as I set my eyes on the Mulberry Cookie Bayswater in Tan (surprise surprise another bag) this all changed.  It is so gorgeous, I'm not a massive fan of the original tan Bayswater just because everyone seems to have them, but this bag is so different to anything else on the market I love the frill around it. Anyway I have put together a virtual outfit of how I would wear this bag if it is ever mine, it costs £995 so it won't be mine any time soon!

White Jumper- Topshop ♥ Coy Lipstick- Topshop ♥ Michael Kors  Watch ♥ Bracelet- Alexander McQueen ♥ Lavender Jeans- Topshop ♥ Bayswater Sandals - Mulberry  ♥ Tan Cookie Bayswater- Mulberry ♥

I love the lavender jeans, they really compliment the tan Baywaters I think I may have to purchase these for spring ;)  I always seem to change the model of Michael Kors watch that I want, I really really want one I think I should just take the plunge!

What do you guys think of the Mulberry Bayswater cookie? Prefer it to the original?

Sunday Funday

Hey Girls,

So this weekend I was lucky enough to have 3 days off work its been bliss! I went shopping on Friday in Brighton and got quite a few bits, it is always when you're not looking for things you find so much :P It was the boyfriends birthday today so I wore this outfit and we braved the snow to head out for some lunch :) The snow isn't very thick in London it is just slushy and cold, but I did have a thick coat on over this i'm not crazy!

Blouse - Topshop similar here ♥  Scarf- Primark ♥ Necklace- Forever 21  ♥ Jeans- Hollister ♥ Cardigan- H&M ♥

I couldn't believe it when I saw this scarf in Primark it is such a knock off of the Alexander McQueen one but at £4 it is more purse friendly. Obviously it isn't silk and those with real ones will know the difference but for now it is perfect for me :) I really want a real one for my birthday in Navy so at least I can see how much I wear this one and if it is worth it!

What this with snowy icy weather when I painted my nails it seemed I had being cold on my mind, as when I had finished them I realised how icy they seemed ha ha. I used two OPI polishes in I Vant to be A-lone star and Nicki Minaj's Save me over the top on my ring finger.

I really like this combination together I find Save me looks best layered over another nail polish, what do you think?
