OPI- Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It

Hello lovely readers :)

This week has been so hectic, there has been a lot of going back and forth between London and Sussex and if you follow me on twitter you know I had to have a root canal on Thursday *sniff* so I am really glad that it is finally the weekend!

I picked up this nail polish last weekend from the lovely John Lewis beauty hall, if you still haven't been you must! I have wanted this nail polish since seeing the press release photos flying around as it is so cute and girly, plus different to anything else I have seen! In the photo above I painted my nails in Nicole for OPI- Kim-pletely in love which is a shimmery pale pink colour and than layered Nothin Mousie bout it over the top. Nothin Mousie bout is more of a jelly like consistency so that the hearts stay in it and then easier to transfer onto your nails. The only issue I had with this is that the nail polish is very thick, so you only need 1-2 layers max which is pretty hard when you are trying to get more than one heart onto your nail because they cling to the brush! This means it did go a bit clumpy so sorry for the less than flattering photo on my nails but after some practise I am sure I will get the hang of it. I do absolutely love the effect of this polish, the little hearts are so cute and a lot of people admired it, so if you have a thing of nail polishes this is one to have in your collection :)

Outfit of the Weekend: Peplum Top & Rose Gold

I hope you are well. Yesterday my parents came up to London for my mum's birthday so I became their personal tour guide and showed them a few of my favourite places in London :) I showed them somerset house which is beautiful, and then it occurred to me I live so close to it yet I have never done an outfit post there what is wrong with me?! Haha so I enlisted my dad to take some snaps and I think he did a pretty good job he might just have knocked my boyfriend off as top photographer ;) We then went for a late lunch at my favourite Italian restaurant- Piccolino, the food there is so good and it has a really nice atmosphere.

On my lunch break on Friday I rushed to the nearest Topshop as I wanted to check out their sale but once arriving there a couple of things caught my eye but they were similar to things I already have and wear little of. So I wandered around the shop when this top caught my eye, I have been after a peplum top for a while as they seem to be really flattering and I love the pearl and bead detail on the collar so snapped it up! Obviously as it was new I wanted to wear it straight away so I dressed it down with flip flops but I think you could easily wear this top in the evening with these jeans and just a nice pair of heels. Finally my one sales purchase was the yellow studded bracelet I am wearing which was half price from topshop so was £3.25 it was the colour that caught my eye and I thought it would be great stacked with other plain gold ones. Also I tried to master the pineapple bun, and wore my hair up which is very rare for me but I do quite like how it looks :)

Hidden Treasures

If you read my last post you will know that I am currently on a spending ban ( I did buy something yesterday though oops) but I mainly have put a ban on buying more make up! So while rummaging around and sorting out I came across these gems and thought I'd show you them as you may have them or something similar in your draws being neglected and in my opinion you really should get them out!

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel - 547 Bronze Rose. I bought this product last summer when it was realised purely because with a lot of of Chanel products I fell in love with how it looked I love how pretty the four stripes look together. Due to its prettiness I was really too scared to use,  it I wanted to keep it special which is crazy as it is a beauty product so when I found this I thought what the hell I'm going to enjoy this, and that is what I have been doing since! I use this on my cheeks and it gives a gorgeous bronzed sun kissed look even my mum complimented me twice on it! I looked at Chanel's 2012 summer collection and they have released one very similar to this so if you like the look of this it might be worth checking that out as this was past season.

Mac Eyeshadow Rare Find - semi-precious collection. I remember buying this because one of the really nice SA in the Brighton Mac store had this on and it looked amazing so I asked what she was wearing and she said this. I wear it with Mac's all that glitter's all over my lid and then use this to create a smokey eye. As it is a mineralized eyeshadow it works best when used wet so I spray some Mac studio fix on my brush then use it otherwise it can be a bit chalky. It is different to the usual neutrals I own once on the eye there is only a slight hint of purple but it is such a pretty colour.

Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Crystal Pink- Semi Precious collection. This is a gorgeous highlighter, I do love the Mac mineralized skin finishes but there is no point in buying too many as they last so long. I love the champagne colour this skin finish gives, and it makes a perfect highlighter for these warmer months, it really compliments the Chanel Tan Rose above.

I'm sorry that in this photo you can't see what the eyeshadow looks like very well I will try and do a FOTD soon to give you a better idea, but you can see how nicely the highlighter and chanel blusher/bronzer go together. I hope this makes you want to start rummaging in your make up draws and you never know what sort of gems you might find :)

One Top day to night

Hi Lovlies,

So today is a bit of a different post for me but I was looking through my wardrobe and realised that I have a lot of pieces that I don't wear very often as I only wear them in the evening. After some inspiration from instagram and pinterest I thought I would pick a beaded top which I absolutely love from Topshop and try and pair two outfits one for the day and one for the night.  I would wear the first outfit with the shorts in a heartbeat If the weather was actually nice! I love the girlyness of the top with the tougher studded shoes. The second outfit I would wear for drinks or dinner, I love these leather panel leggings I wear them so much I even have them on today :P

Save, Spend, Splurge Sheer Peach Lips

I have noticed for the past month that I have been reaching for sheer lip products and in particular peach sheer lip products! I have always been a pink lip kind of gal, but recently when I wear one I think my face looks to heavy and fake so sheer peach it is :) I thought I would show you the three that I am reaching for mixing it up daily and I noticed that they each fit into the save, spend, splurge categories so they are a nice variety of brands and prices. I hope you find this post helpful :)

'Save' Revlon Lip Butter Peach Parfait - The cheaper out of the three at £7.99, if you read my blog regularly you know I am a massive fan of the Revlon lip butters and they are such great value for money. This one is a very subtle peach tint to your lips with a lot of gold shimmer. This one in particular is more a tinted lip balm so you can apply it without a mirror and not have to worry and is natural colour wise just with a lot of shimmer.

'Spend' Mac Sheen Supreme lipstick Blossom Culture - Priced at £13.50 this is a lipstick that you have to spend a few more pounds than a drug store brand but it is worth it! This lipstick is the newest to my collection and I love it. I had never had a sheen supreme lipstick from Mac before but I love the formula it is so much lighter than their regular lipsticks and a lot more buildable. On me out of the three this is the most 'peach' it is perfect to achieve a sun kissed natural look and is a gorgeous colour. The pictures are making it seem more milky than it is I recommend checking it out though. If you watched my latest video here you can see me wearing it and can see the colour better.

'Splurge' Chanel Coco Rouge Shine Flirt - This is the most expensive at £24.00 I don't even remember it being that much I'm surprised I paid that it shows what those two C's can do to a girl! I bought this back in February and had forgotten all about it until the beginning of May. It is a lovely light peach colour, perfect for a lip touch of colour and I find personally hydrating. I do love the formula of the coco rouge shine and Flirt is no exception, luckily I love the colour pay off of this lipstick otherwise the price of £24.00 for a lipstick would hurt a lot more!

So those are my views on these three Peach lip products, If I had to pick a favourite at the moment I would say Mac's blossom culture it is the one I reach for the most and gives the best peach colour pay off. Summer June 12 Haul Video

I have finally filmed a haul video for you a few pieces I have got throughout May/June. Outfit of the Weekend- Baby Pink & Leopard Print

Two weekend outfits in a row oh I'm on a role :P actually in reality I just made a effort on both days! As with every Sunday I went to China town to have some delicious dim sum, Sunday's wouldn't be the same without it! If you go for dim sum in China town let me know which restaurant you go to as we go to the same one but I am up for trying some new places.

I went for a simple outfit as after filming a haul video this weekend ( it will be up this week) I realised I should wear this baby pink blazer casually instead of just for work, so I will admit it this outfit was planned around the blazer and not just 'chucked on.' Actually the one thing that was chucked on was my beloved Zara leopard print scarf which has to be the only scarf that I wear over and over again and it just happened to be in my bag but I think it looks really good against baby pink :) I love the ideas of scarfs but in reality most of them I buy and then barely wear. I also love this blazer I have been looking for a pale blazer for a while but the only ones I liked were from topshop and cost £65! This was expensive at £49.99 but the quality of it is much better than the topshop one it is more structured and tailored better for me. I think it is from their designer collection as I can't find it online anywhere. How was everyones weekend? How is it Monday already? Wah.

Outfit of the Weekend: Pastel Jeans & Skulls

Hi Lovelies,

I finally have my camera back no more iphone photos woo! So the sun finally came out on Saturday afternoon so I quickly whipped out my pastel orangeny pink jeans which I love so much and got for my birthday and went for a lovely evening walk along the South Bank. I love the South Bank there is so much going on there and when the sun is out it seems even more beautiful, I think you always appreciate London and its beauty more when the sunshine is out, and I love looking over to St Pauls and the city like in my last photo :) What did you get up to this Saturday?

My outfit is simple this weekend but the skull top that I got from River Island is quite eye catching and speaks for itself so I didn't feel the need to wear a lot of jewellery. I have worn it a lot more than I thought I would it has even grown on my mum who at first described it as 'different' which in Mum language means she hates it haha . It is supposed to be a crop top but I bought it a couple of sizes bigger so that I could wear it as a top as skin tight crop tops do not suit me! haha

What do you think of pastel jeans? Is it a trend you love or hate? What colour would you call these jeans, as I think they're orange but my boyfriend thinks they are pink! haha

Photo Diary of my Jubilee Weekend

Just a few snaps of my Jubilee Weekend I had such a great time and really enjoyed my 4 day weekend! The weekend made me feel very proud to be British we know how to celebrate ;) This post will be very picture heavy for me..

May's Face of the Month!

Hi Lovelies,

I know this post is a few days late but the British festivities of the bank holiday weekend distracted me completely! These are the products that I wore this month I thought I would do another of these post like last months as it means I switch my products up more and everything has changed this month besides my mascara. While we had our one hot week I did only wear foundation, mascara, blush and a sheer lipstick but otherwise I have grabbed these products nearly every day for the month of May. You may notice that I am missing bronzer this month and that is because I have been testing out the fake tan waters more and also after our heatwave I caught a nice colour on my face and bronzer was not needed!

Bourjois healthy mix foundation shade 53 - I love this foundation so much I will go as far as saying this is the best high street foundation I have tried. It reminds me of my Chanel Vitalumiere aqua foundation but this is slightly better coverage. It lasts me about 12 hours so I highly recommend it!

Collection 2000 concealer in light - Another new product this month for me and my first concealer! I see why this is raved about so much in the beauty community it does wonders!

Mac Paint Point in Bare Study - I use this as an eyeshadow base.

Burberry eyeshadow in Rosewood- Love this eyeshadow it is such a gorgeous light taupe colour, I now favor this eyeshadow over Mac's Satin Taupe. I have done a full review here.

Maybelline Brown gel liner - Such a great eyeliner and so easy to use. It doesn't smudge and the brown liner is less harsh than black for the summer, I really recommend this eyeliner!

Mac Blusher in Something Special - My first ever creme blusher, lovely natural colour full review here.

Dior Amber Diamonds - It is now secret how much I love this highlighter, gives a gorgeous natural glow full review here.

Mac Sheen supreme lipstick in Blossom Culture - I got this for my birthday and it has been on my lips every since. A lovely peachy colour, which is sheer and glossy, I will do a full review on this soon!
