What's in my make up bag?

Finally a new video on my youtube channel, a What's in my make up bag/ what is my current make up. I hope you like it, my hair looks horrendous as I'm trying to let the colour grow out as I don't like it anymore but should I dye it to my natural colour again or let it grow? The roots are so bad argh!

Thank you to all of you who have subscribed to my channel it means a lot, I am trying to to make them more regularly but I think I am a little bit too self critical for youtube, there is lots of things I don't like but hey that is life isn't it! Are any of the products mentioned things you are loving at the moment?

OOTW- A Stroll in the Park

Hi Lovelies,

I hope you have all had a nice weekend. I spent all of yesterday in bed with food poisoning it was awful, I struggled to even get to the sofa and spent most of my day drifting in and out of sleep. I feel better today, still not great but I have to get out of bed and revise as I have an insurance exam tomorrow, life just loves me!

These photos were actually from last Sunday I found them on my camera and thought I would share them with you. We did one of my favourite things to do on a Sunday, besides going for dim sum, we went for a walk through Hyde Park and then went to Harrods to see the puppies :). I love Hyde Park it is so pretty, and there always seems to be a lot going on, when I was there they were putting up Winter Wonderland which I can't wait to go to this year! Anyone else planning on going? Now this outfit looks much better in real life than these photos, for some reason this skirt looks so long and grannyish when in reality it isn't! This is a skirt I bought a year ago from New look, wore it once then it got thrown to the back of my wardrobe, so I thought I would blow the dust of it, give it an iron and wear it again. I teamed it with a trusty striped t shirt, and my brown topshop boots two staples in my winter wardrobe!

What is your favourite thing to do in London?

Nails Inc Event SS13

Leather? Feathers? Concrete ! Yes your eyes have read that right it isn't a dodgy home improvements shopping list but Nail Inc's new collections! I really don't know where to start, Nails inc are always the brand which tries and invents new nail polish textures and are always keeping up with the latest trends.

The collection with the biggest buzz around it in the beauty blogging world is the feathers effect polish. You can tell this is going to be an instant hit like nail inc's sprinkles collection, I mean look how gorgeous those swatches are! Fear not you won't have fluffy nails the feathers are tiny particles inside the formula and look like large sprinkles. You will have to wait til March to get your hands on these beauties though *sigh*. The next stand out collection for me has to be the denim one, it is a beautiful matte blue with small green glitter running through it, so it really looks like denim on your nails. I usually don't like matte polish but when the girl applied it on me I was smitten, you can see on the swatch how pretty it in. It also has to be the only time that double denim is acceptable right? But this isn't realise until June 2012.Boo.

The next collection which has really intrigued me is the Bling it on Leather effect one. I never know how I feel about textures nails, I am a really simple gloss kind of gal however, I love leather at the moment and skulls so this little set is right up my street! It applies glossy, but tries matte just how leather looks like and the best part is for £19 for the set the skulls are reusable and is launching in December so you don't have to wait long, yay! I really want to get my hands on the bling it on romance set, which has gorgeous little bows in it and my favourite every day polish- porchester square, I think this kit would be great for adding a little sparkle to every day nails perfect for work. One last stand out that is worth keeping your eyes peeled for is a corrector pen, which is nail polish remover in pen former so easy to clean up those messy edges. This is something I will 100% be buying as I can never keep within the lines and always make a mess of my fingers, and at £10 I think that is a really good price.

Phew that is a lot of different collections! What is your favourite? What do you think about leather effect nails, would you wear them?

Outfit of the Weekend: Ellie the Ballerina

Another day another new dress aye! This is also one of the dresses that I chose and my boyfriend ordered for me from Asos, it is a really pretty ballerina wrap dress which I thought would be so versatile and one of those simple dresses great to have in your wardrobe.I also love that it has 3/4 length sleeves, as it means you don't have to worry about a cardigan to match and is nice for this time of year. I styled it with my leather sleeve river island jacket, and a rose gold belt just for a simple mooch around the shops. I'm not sure why but I feel in the top right photo this dress makes my hips look massive, when in real life they aren't that big, maybe I had the belt pulled in too much? I also don't like my hair in that photo it looks SO ginger haha, I'm trying to let it fade which means horrible roots :(.

I feel really down about my blog at the moment, like it isn't good enough and just generally feeling a bit blah. Maybe I will have a mess around and re design it a bit, what sort of posts would you like to see on my blog? What are your favourite? Or do you have any suggests in ways I can improve it as I'm not sure what to do to make me like it again! Do you ever get like that with your blog?

Autumn Lip colour: Kate Moss Matte Lipstick 107

This has to be the most popular lipstick at the moment in the blogging world right? Everyone has been raving on about it, and out of the Kate Moss matte lipstick collection this is the stand out one. I am no different and I have been loving this lipstick it has been gracing my lips frequently which is surprising as it is not a colour I would usually go for!

The lipstick 107,which sadly does not have a name, is a gorgeous deep berry colour perfect for autumn and a colour which seems to suit most skin tones. I know it has been likened to Mac Diva but slightly lighter, Mac Diva has always intrigued me but I am way too much of a wimp to pull off such a vampy colour. I was worried when I bought this that due to it being matte it would be really drying as my only other encounter with matte lipsticks are the Mac ones which I don’t personally like, but boy was I wrong! This is surprisingly creamy for a matte lipstick, and doesn’t highlight every little flaw on your lips which nobody wants in the winter months. At £5.50 it is an absolute steal and a great way for you to introduce colour lips to your Autumn days without splashing out on an expensive Mac one. Out of all the drug store lipsticks I have tried this has to be my favourite colour and formula, and if I was ever to finish a lipstick which one day I hope I will, I will most definitely re purchase this one. One thing I will say is try and purchase it at boots, as I had to buy mine at superdrug and they put those god awful sticks all over their products, which means every bit of dirt from your bag gets stuck to your lipstick and it looks disgusting!

Have you tried any of the Kate Moss matte lipsticks? Is 107 a shade you would try?

Outfit of the Weekend: Swinging Swan Dress

Hi Dolls,

Oh it has been a while hasn't it! Life just seems to have gotten in the way, I have had some exciting news at work this week though I am officially on the trainee underwriter scheme which means fingers crossed that in a years time I will be a 'real' underwriter. When I hear things like this it makes me realise that going to Uni really wasn't necessary for me, and makes it worth while not going. I have one of my insurance exams in less than 2 weeks I am really nervous I hope I pass it!

Recently I was surfing Asos like I always do and a couple of pieces really caught my eye. I never order online, its like a fear of mine I find it such a hassle if it doesn't fit and I am one of those shoppers who needs to touch and feel things before I purchase, ( i hope that doesn't sound too odd haha.) Something was different about me last week I was feeling spontaneous and I instantly fell in love with this dress. My boyfriend sweetly said he will buy the two things I ordered for me as one of my early christmas presents :) This dress is everything I usually avoid, I find as I have a fair size bust for my size that baggy clothes end up looking boxy on me and make me look pregnant, but this dress is SO different. It is gorgeous I love the print and fit, it feels flattering and comfortable, I want more swing dresses! One thing I will say is the head hole is pretty tiny when you first get so if you have a bigish head then you might need to stretch it a bit. I think I am now an online shopper converter, I am already eyeing up a few more pieces from the Asos website! I swear I am living in this Gilet as well, how did I live without it before, what did I wear?!

Anyone else ordered anything recently from Asos? If so what is it? Have you seen any nice swing dresses recently? I want more!

Outfit of the weekend: A Sunny trip to Sussex

Hi Dolls,

Another outfit post today! Sunday was such a lovely day, the sun was shining and it was really fresh out so we went to Sussex to visit my boyfriend's Mum, so no dim sum for me this week boo, however I was made seaweed and egg soup... something I have never had before.

I am not sure why but recently I have really been struggling with what to wear at the weekends, as the weather is changing so much from artic conditions to mild, I never know what to wear I think I need to buy more layers! I also feel a bit in a style rut and like I wear the same things over and over again. Anyway I dug out my studded checked shirt which I got quite a while ago but recently I have noticed it has become pretty popular within the blogging community. Now this outfit is not ground breaking but I mean there is only so many ways you can wear a checked shirt in winter... with jeans! I just added my trusty fur gilet over the top, and this outfit was actually really comfortable perfect for travelling on the trains!

Is anyone else stressing about Christmas yet? I really should start buying present soon, I also have my boyfriend's and best friends 21st birthdays at the beginning of February so its is going to be an expensive time I really need to get organised!

P.s someone else at work just saw me writing this so knows about my blog, I have gone VERY shy ha anyone else get like that when 'real life' people find out?

Being a Tourist in London

Hi Lovelies,

Another Sunday is here! I feel like such a slacker on the blogging front recently, what with these dark days it is soo hard to take decent photographs. I thought I would share with you my Saturday, my parents came up to London for my dads birthday which meant I got to act like a tourist for the day and as much as I curse actual tourists in London for being so slow, it was nice for once being able to go at a slower pace and take more things in. :)

As well as being a Tourist I doubled up as a Tour guide, multi-tasking is a woman's strong point after all, haha! Anyway we started in Borough market and stumbled across the large ship which is shown a bit in the first photo, think pirates of the Caribbean ship. We then strolled along the South Bank to the globe theatre, which I found a little sad as its near my old home and I really miss living there! After that we crossed the bridge at St Paul's took in its beauty and finally ended up in Soho's Bill's for dinner which was delicious! I had the Bill's burger with bacon and it was so good, the only burgers I like are Byron's, I am really fussy with burgers and this one was a close contender to it!

Overall it was a lovely day and I was sad to say goodbye to my mum and dad at the end of the night! Do you ever take time out to enjoy the city you live in rather than rushing around? Anyone know what the ship is about in Borough?

P.s Confession my whole outfit was based around the tartan scarf as it was new and I am in love with it haha sad right?! But it was a total bargain at 3.99 and it is soo soft! Also how cool is this ring? Its from this awesome up and coming designer brand they have some amazing different pieces and the quality is so good defo worth checking them out!

My two favourite blushers for Fall

Hi Lovelies,

This post has been stashed away in my drafts for about 10 days now and even thought it is still technically Autumn it feels more like winter these days, however I will still be rocking these blushers in winter!

As soon as the air starts turning crisp and the leaves begin to fall, I start switching up my make up which means the coral and peach blushes are stashed away for another year, and the dusty pinks and berries appear. For my skin tone peach blushers just do not look right when it isn't sunny, I'm not really sure why, but I know some people can still rock a peach cheek in winter, so I am in no way saying you must all change your blusher asap! My first favourite is Nars Deep Throat a blusher that is pretty popular in the old bloggin' world. It is describe as a flirty sheer peach, I personally find it leans more pink on my cheeks than it does peach, like it appears in the first photo. It has tiny speckles of gold shimmer running through it, and it feels really lovely and creamy so it is easy to blend, and the colour lasts nearly all day on me. You can see me wearing it here and it is true love!

My next favourite, Mac Super Wonder which is sadly limited edition, I got when it was first released a few months ago and I am ashamed to say used it about twice. Since sorting out my collection I re discovered it which was good timing as I was toying in my mind whether to buy Nars Sin, but In reality I don't need anymore blushers and should wear what I have. Technically this is a skin finish, but it should obviously be used as a blusher otherwise you'd have a very pink face haha! I swirl this all together to achieve a gorgeous plummy pink, with small gold shimmer. I don't love loads of shimmer but this skin finish has just the right amount so when I am in a hurry I can skip highlighting and chuck this on. Colour pay off is really good, so you can build this up depending on the look you are going for. You can see a full review here and wearing it here.

So what are your favourite blushers for Autumn/Winter?

Outfit of the Weekend: Lift Off

I spy my recent favourite shirt! I love this shirt to bits it goes with so much and I have worn it loads all though it seems to be times when I haven't had time to take outfit pictures! I wore this to watch James Bond at the weekend, and put my fur gilet on to stay snug in the cinema as I always find cinema's really cold.

How is your Tuesday going? Not got much to say today but I wanted to put up a post, this week I am starting to be healthy and attending the gym but I have already fallen at the first hurdle and had a hummingbird red velvet cupcake at lunch! I went swimming last night to ease myself back into it all, but it was tough also very awkward as the woman at my gym seem to walk around the changing rooms BUTT naked giving you eye contact. I may be a prude but I find it really awkward and don't know where to look! But the reason behind my health kick is because of the model Ashley Sky, I came across her tumblr and she has a killer body and is so pretty, I will never look like her but no harm in trying right!

Do you have any people who inspire you to keep fit?

Sunday Dim Sum Trip

Hi Lovelies,

Another weekend has just flown by! If you follow me on twitter you probably see me tweet nearly every Sunday how I am going to China Town for Dim sum. On a Sunday it is part of our routine to go for Dim sum, my boyfriend is from Hong Kong so he knows all the good things to order! Chinese is probably my favourite type of food shortly followed by Japanese but nothing beats going for Dim sum, so for once I actually remembered my camera and I thought I would take some pics of our favourite things to order. However, this was tricky I struggled a bit to get in there first before my boyfriend wolfed it down, as you can see in the dumpling photo those chop sticks were going in for a swift grab haha! Something else I also love is pork buns they are delicious and if you want the best I recommend going to China Garden in Brighton as they are out of this world!

I kept my outfit simple, keeping the top half the same as I wore last weekend but putting some jeans on rather than shorts and tights as it was freezing!

What is your Sunday tradition/routine? What's your favourite dim sum?
