Currently gracing my nails...

I'm not sure about you but when I need a little pick me up I always seem to end up with a new nail polish, which is exactly what happened to me last month. While browsing Boots this polish caught my eye and before I knew it I had checked out and was on my merry way. The polish in question is the one above called Maximillian Strasse which is from Essie's spring collection. Straight away I was worried that it was going to be very similar to Essie Absolutely Shore which I love but find a bit too pale and 'bright' for every day wear.

Luckily this colour is much more a muted pale sage green colour with very strong grey undertones. This is the sort of pastel shade which can be worn as a edgy neutral colour, it is very surprising how much it goes with! Application wise as the formula is thick you could get away with one coat, but out of habit I always use two coats which just makes the colour more opaque. I personally love this colour it is exactly what I have wanted for my 9-5 summer days, and honestly can you have too many mint shades in your collection?!

Have any of you got this colour? What is your favourite day to day nail polish?

P.s I see the GFC panic is back and if any of you GFC followers like my blog enough I would love it if you followed me on bloglovin so you don't miss out on any of my rambles :)

  8. I'm totally loving Essie polishes at the moment. I'm currently wearing Mint Candy Apple, but this is gorgeous! I don't think I've seen anything similar to it before.

  9. That shade is dreamy, and I've been an Essie fan for a while now (wearing it now, natch!). I've struggled with their base coats as I found they made my nails brittle (?!) but the colour palettes are lush ♥ Claire at Jazzpad

  10. Is it wrong that I'm tempted by the shade purely because it's named after a street here in Munich?
